Maybe this isn't just about the vacation ...

Here's an odd silver lining.

My weight has gone upupup. I thought I was just a weak, aging loser with no self control and a slowing metabolism.

Well. It turns out that both fibromyalgia and my meds cause weight gain. So ... uh ...

Don't judge me.

And the silver lining is that it's not my fault I'm fat.

(Yeah, yeah, I should still eat healthy and try to lose weight and exercise and all that; but at least I know that it's not all my fault.)

NOW, BACK TO THE VACATION PLANNING ...

Sean really wants to go to Canada. I need to figure out where the best place to go is and whether we need/have time to get passports. I know embarrassingly little about Canada. (Well, I probably know more than Kellie Pickler, but it's not much.)



So I have more research to do. I'm thinking the ski areas will be the prettiest; at least, in my very brief http://www.flickr.com tour of "Canada," that appears to be true. Jim has some good ideas. He pays more attention to international news than I do.
